7. SHARON/INKSTER TRIP TO PASTORAL EVANGELISM CONFERENCE – December 8-11, 2019
Sharon Inkster SDA church is sponsoring a trip to the Pastoral Evangelism Leadership Conference (PELC) at Oakwood University Church, Dec 8-11th, in Huntsville, AL. This event is open to all Pastors, Elders and church members. For nearly 40 years PELC has provided inspiration and continuing education for pastors and church leaders. It is the largest and longest running conference of its kind in the Adventist Church with over 1500 leaders in attendance. This conference is designed to provide world-class training for religious leaders. Workshops and plenaries are conducted during the day and community workshop services are held at night. “Notice is hereby given that the regular, annual meeting of the Peterson-Warren Academy Constituency will convene at: 11 am on Sunday, November 17, 2019, Peterson-Warren Academy (PWA) 4000 Sylvia Street, Inkster, MI The primary purpose of the meeting will be to receive reports on the current state and future direction of the school. Particular focus will be given to the reinstatement of the High School at PWA.”

Volunteers Needed As we plan for the school year we are enlisting your help. We need dedicated volunteers to assist us in the educational experience at PWA. Volunteers can be very helpful in relieving some burdens from our teachers and staff, and allow them to devote their time and energy to teaching and developing learning opportunities for the students: Lunch program: monitor students during lunch, assist with warming the food, serving and cleaning up. Typical Hours: 11:00 am— 1:00 pm. 2 to 3 days a week. Teacher Aides: assist teacher in monitoring students, grading papers, put up bulletin boards, generally assist teacher where needed. Typical Hours: During the school day—8:00 am — 3:30 pm or as arranged/needed. Latch Key: Monitor students who arrive early for school or stay late after school/activities until picked up by their parents. Typical hours: 7:30 — 8:30 am and 3:00 pm—6:00pm. Extra-Curricular: provide assistance/lead out in extra-curricular activities including sports (basketball, volleyball, soccer, etc.), Music (teach musical instruments, voice, etc.), gymnastics, arts & crafts, computer basics. Typical Hours: 3:30—4:30-5:00 pm. Administrative Aids: Answer telephones, file documents, make copies for teachers, etc. If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering for any of the above areas, please contact Lynnette Jefferson at
