Monday 10/21/2019 AGENDA INDEPENDENT READING PROJECT PRESENTATIONS: We will begin presenting today. I will take volunteers first and then call names at random. During each presentation, you must sit quietly and complete the IR Book Talk Participation Chat. IT IS A GRADE! BRONX MASQUERADE: Read pages of Bronx Masquerade (you should have your own book with you) and complete the writing journal. BRONX MASQUERADE STUDY GUIDE: Now that you have completed the book, it is time to complete the study guide questions (blue). You may work with a partner. BRONX MASQUERADE JOURNAL #5: Amy’s poem “Ode to Stone” uses a stone as a symbol. What object represents you? Explain. BLACKOUT POETRY: Using the excerpt you were given, black out parts of the page to create your own personal poem. Complete the accompanying handout as well. BE PREPARED TO PRESENT!
