This proposed IoT/IoL link uses the airport runway LED lighting system for airport ground operations automations. This VAT solutions also used for application services like ITS, ADAS, etc. on road condition. Purpose: To provided concept models of Light Communication based IoT/IoL Link solution for Vehicular Assistant Technology (VAT) Interest Group. 3 Needs for Airport Ground Operations Automation
March 2017 Needs for Airport Ground Operations Automation Needs The aircraft congestion and accidents occur due to increasing air traffic in airports. Every aircraft when taking off or landing at the airport follow the guidance system from the flight control room and the instructor. Ensuring safety within ground operations during the age of automation is top priority in the airport ground service providers. In order to provide effective ground operation service, airport services provider need find the new navigation solution to automate the aircrafts landing and takeoff pathway control, etc. Basic Concept Use the airport ground way lighting infrastructure to provide connectivity with aircraft through visible light communication technology. The lighting devices transmits the location coordination information and operations to follow and the cameras installed on the aircraft receives the transmitted information to control aircraft operations. < Airport Ground Operations > Google Slide 3 Submission

5 March 2017 Conclusion Proposed the runway lighting system based IoT/IoL Link for airport ground operations automation for smart airport. Uses the airport runway ground installed lighting system installed and camera system installed in the Aircrafts. The proposed solution provides the effective ground operation service to automate the aircrafts landing and takeoff pathway control, etc. Also, the proposed solution helps to reduce congestion and traffic accidents in the airport when the airport is overloaded.
