2. Jesus is our Savior and Deliverer!
1 John 4:14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.
Romans 11:26 As it is written: “The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.”
Matthew 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

3. A Christian can be influenced by Satan or by a demon.
Matthew 16:23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”
Ephesians 4:27 and do not give the devil a foothold.

4. A stronghold is an unbiblical thought pattern or lie continually believed or an ungodly behavior consistently yielded to.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

5. Through Christ you can overcome all the work of the devil!
Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

6. Put on the full armor of God!
I put on the Belt of Truth. Jesus is the Truth. I put on the Breastplate of Righteousness. Jesus is my Righteousness. I put on the shoes of the Gospel of Peace. Jesus is the Good News. I take up the Shield of Faith. Jesus is the Faithful One. I put on the Helmet of Salvation. Jesus is my Savior. I take up the Sword of the Spirit. Jesus is the Word of God. And I take all prayer. Jesus is my Intercessor. I stand complete in the Lord Jesus Christ and the evil one cannot touch me. Amen.

14. Submit yourself first to the Lord Jesus Christ!

15. Confess any and all sin, and receive Christ’s forgiveness and cleansing!
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

16. Luke 10:19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
Matthew 28:18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Affirm, as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, you have authority over Satan!

17. Use the full name, the Lord Jesus Christ, when confronting the enemy!
1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God!
He gives us the victory through our
Lord Jesus Christ.

18. Bind the strong man!
Matthew 12:29 (ESV) Or how can someone enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house.

19. Command demon spirits to leave and go to the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ never to return!
Psalm 110:1 The LORD says to my lord: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”

20. When resisting Satan, use Scripture!
Matthew 4:4, 7, 10 4 Jesus answered, “It is written Jesus answered him, “It is also written Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written ”
1 John 3:8 The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.
Colossians 2:15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

21. Enjoy your freedom in Christ and live in it daily!
John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

22. Prayer of submission
“Heavenly Father, I give you control of my body, my mind, will, and emotions. I invite you to be Lord of my life in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.”

23. Confess sin
“Father, I come in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I confess to you the sin of giving ground to the spirit of ___________ (name specifically whatever it is you dealt with). This spirit is not from you and I do not want it in my life. I confess that I have sinned and right now I receive the forgiveness that comes from the Lord Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross. Thank you for forgiving me right now.”

24. Renounce the evil one
“In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I resist, bind, and command this evil spirit to be gone from me. It is written, ‘Resist the devil and he will flee from you.’ It cannot hide or manifest itself or influence me in any way from this point forward. I take authority over it in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and I command it to leave me and go right now to the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ, never to return to me again. I am free from it now and forever. For it is written, ‘If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.’”

25. Pray to receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit
“Father God, thank you for freeing me from that evil spirit. Right now, I ask you to take back all ground that I had given over to the enemy. Fill me now with your Holy Spirit from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet. Take control of my body. Take control in every area of my life in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Fill me to overflowing with your Holy Presence. I receive! Thank you for keeping your promise to fill me and to control me. Hallelujah! Amen.”
