2 Resume Assignment Comments
Resumes must be perfect and must look professional. Spell and especially grammar must be correct. Formatting & presentation must be good. Small fonts with a lot of white space is a wasted opportunity. Electronic copies must be on the S-Drive. My review was based on “general visual impact” and I did not provide deep comments on the wording and content (this is outside the scope of the course). Talk to me before class if want an in-depth review from me (or see the LAC for a review). Include the “buzz” words from the job ad.

4 Retirement Basics In general, 401k retirement plans allow you to invest in mutual funds which consist of stocks and bonds. A 401K allows your contributions to grow without being taxed – but they will be taxed when you start taking your money out. In many cases, your employer will contribute about 3-6% if you contribute 3 to 6%, matching either 50 or 100% of your contributions. Your contributions are tax-free when you contribute but taxes are due when you use the money at retirement. If you don’t contribute, then neither does your employer!
