A network of the world’s megacities committed to addressing climate change – supporting information exchange and collective projects between city officials. Within the partnership, C40 Cities will leverage their network of climate stakeholders in cities worldwide to expand and strengthen the GPSC RT and assist with local engagement, information sharing, and stakeholder engagement. C40 networks Climate Risk Assessment, Connecting Delta Cities, Cool Cities, District Energy, Private Building Efficiency, Municipal Building Efficiency, Green Growth, Sustainable Infrastructure , Sustainable Solid Waste Systems, Zero Waste, Climate Positive Development, Food Systems, Land Use Planning, Low-Carbon Districts, Transit Oriented Development, Bus Rapid Transit, Low Emission Vehicles, Mobility Management Within the GPSC Resource Team (RT), the C40 will lead linkages to global processes, international events, and webinars. ICLEI is the leading global network of more than 1,500 cities, towns and regions in 108 countries committed to building a sustainable future. By helping the ICLEI Network to become sustainable, low-carbon, ecomobile, resilient, biodiverse, resource-efficient, healthy and happy, with a green economy and smart infrastructure, we impact over 25% of the global urban population. ICLEI will leverage its network, existing tools and guidance as well as its policy and technical expertise at the World Secretariat, identifying knowledge of communities of practice in cities worldwide to support RT activities. Task Coordinator: City assistance via a strategic guidance access point (“help desk”). Integrated Sustainable Planning

WRI aims to ensure that cities drive economic opportunity while sustaining natural resources and improving quality of life. Through our WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities, we use technical expertise, cutting-edge research, and on-the-ground partnerships to design solutions that enable sustainable city growth. WRI, as the executing agency for this grant, is the coordinating partner of the Resource Team (RT) and leads the partnership’s work on all Components as well as delivering the majority of project management. In addition to the activities financed by GEF funds, WRI will supply tools and expertise on global city engagement and specific areas such as TOD, mobility planning, BRT design and management, integrated transport management, resilience planning, energy efficiency, GHG emissions inventories, water risk, and waste to energy. Within the GPSC RT, WRI will focus on knowledge products and inputs into the Web platform. Integrated Sustainable Planning

RT Modalities Integrated Sustainable Planning Project Components
Project Outcomes Project Outputs City access point to RT services Cities are connected with other cities for peer-to-peer interaction, and connected with actionable knowledge relevant to tackling their challenges Documented requests, responses, and follow-up for assistance, including facilitation of peer-to-peer contacts Learning events, webinars and linkages to Global events The GPSC profile will be heightened and knowledge will be shared (with flows both ways) through events open to a wide range of participants in global or major regional venues as well as webinars 2-6 side events or panels at global or important regional events plus a series of 8-12 webinars that can be packaged for inclusion on web platform Knowledge management: documentation Information from peer-to-peer exchanges provides insight for other cities All interactions with support materials will be documented for inclusion on website Integrated Sustainable Planning
