14 MN District Grant Examples
Background on Grant, slide re: data (ask if anyone in audience had one of these grants– get more examples) Most programs used for posters, banners, rugs etc, more importantly, grant was a trigger to measure fidelity… finding the act of doing TFI in and of itself re-engaged schools in a data based way which prompted action planning resulting in improved PBIS implementation Examples from Bugonaygeshig, Truman, Floodwood

15 Tier 1 TFI data: Grant funded schools
Average TFI score Percentage of Schools at Fidelity by Cohort TFI data—average TFI Tier 1 scores and % at 70% fidelity—reported by some of the schools that received a 68 grant, both for that sub-set of the 347 schools as a whole (n = 215) as well as disaggregated by those that had been cohort trained (n = 152) and those not-cohort trained (n = 63).  I also presented the same two types of data for the sub-sub-sets of schools that reported TFIs in both the Fall and the Spring.  The results were found to be informative, and the suggestion was made to include them in the Winter training slides for Cohorts 12 and 13.  But here might be something even a little better… For the sub-sub-set of cohort trained schools that reported TFIs for both Fall and Spring, I ran the disaggregation drill down another level, disaggregating the sub-sub-set into two, sub-sub-sub-sets based on whether, at the time of submitting their TFI scores, they were out of training (so, from Cohorts 1-10) or still in training (Cohorts plus a rogue 13).  Some of the differences seem even more dramatic than the ones between cohort trained and non-cohort trained, plus the potential takeaways to those currently in training might be stronger, e.g.: Look at what happened to those schools that, like you, were in training and that collected TFI data at least twice (BIG increase in average scores, HUGE increase at fidelity by the Spring) Look at what happened to those schools that were out of training and that collected TFI data at least twice (strong average scores at fidelity in both Fall and Spring, further increase in proportion at fidelity from Fall to Spring) I also sorted the schools in each sub-sub-sub-set into their fidelity status at the two points in time, with the 4 options being (a) No in both the Fall and Spring, (b) Yes in the Fall but No in the Spring, (c) No in the Fall but Yes in the Spring, and (d) Yes in both the Fall and Spring.  I tried to report the results in one stacked bar graph but couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to do it so, with apologies to Ellen, I used pie charts for the three groups (All, Cohorts 1-10, and Cohorts 11-13).  These provide a slightly different look to the same results that may or may not be useful.

16 Cohort 14 Application Application is now available for new schools to join cohort training Please help spread the word Link: Minnesota PBIS website ( Deadline: THURSDAY, January 18, 2018.
