Attendance Procedures When you are absent you have three days to bring in a note indicating why you were absent. Notes should be turned in to the attendance office and should have your home telephone number on them.
2
Losing Credit 5 Unexcused absences will cause you to lose credit in the class. This means you will have to repeat the entire class regardless of your grade in the class. At 3 Unexcused absences your teacher will mail home a warning and will notify you that you are in danger of losing credit. Only you are ultimately responsible for knowing your attendance

Appealing a Loss of Credit Don’t get a false sense of security that you will be able to successfully appeal a loss of credit. If you have missed 5 days unexcused your credit will depend on your teacher’s discretion. Teachers have the right to assign detention or make other arrangements to restore your credit.
4
Appealing a loss of credit A loss of credit appeal should be presented to your teacher within 5 days of the day you lose credit. Appealing during the last week of school will do you no good. Remember if you lose credit in a course you are still required to attend the course until the end of the year.
