1 Mrs. Mallicoat’s Class procedures

2 Tardies I will stand in the hallway until the tardy bell rings. When the tardy bell rings, I will close my door. If you are not inside the classroom when the tardy bell rings, you are tardy to class.

3 Entering the Classroom
Enter the classroom quietly and go directly to your seat. Place your books and personal belongings on the floor underneath the desk. Take out your planner/agenda book/assignment sheet and a pencil.

4 Pencils/paper Upon entering the classroom, if you do not have a pencil or paper, please pick up a pencil and a sheet of paper from the table near the door. This should not become a daily habit! Please sharpen your pencil before class begins!

5 Sharpening pencils Sharpen pencils before class begins.
Do not use the pencil sharpener during instruction. If your pencil breaks, you may sharpen it during times you are working independently. If your pencil breaks during instruction or a test, raise your hand, and I will loan you a sharpened pencil.

6 Throwing away trash A trash can is located at the doorway. Please save all trash and throw it away at the end of class as you exit the classroom. YOU are responsible for keeping your desk area neat and picking up after yourself.

7 Restrooms You will have an opportunity to go to the restroom during class change times. Make good choices and use that time wisely. You will not be allowed to leave the classroom to go to the restroom or get water.

8 Restroom policy exceptions
If you have a medical condition that requires more frequent trips to the restroom, documentation from a medical professional must be on file with the school nurse. Sickness – nausea, upset stomach Speak with me privately before class begins.

9 No food, drinks, or gum No food, drinks, or gum will be consumed by students in the classroom. Students may not have or eat candy in the classroom.

10 Classroom computers (1)
Students must follow the acceptable use policy in the Calhoun County Code of Conduct. Chair legs are to remain on the floor at all times.

11 Classroom computers (2)
Students should only visit websites assigned/approved by the teacher. Students are to be on-task while at the computer workstation, or they will be asked to log-off and return to their desk to complete an alternate assignment.
