2 Facebook Use of app: Communication, Social Networking You can use Facebook to message your friends/family and they will receive the message within milliseconds depending If they have data or if they are connected to Wi-Fi

3 Facebook Purpose of app: To speak to family/friends, To add/delete friends or family, Block people, Share videos/pictures. Facebook was first developed to make people connect with each-other so its easier to make plans with friends/family and send each other messages across the world, If the user has a job they could make a group chat to speak to each-other and help if they’re stuck with something in work.

4 Facebook User’s requirements: This app is developed for any gender, Any reasonable age (if the age is under 18 then they would need there parents’ consent).

5 Facebook User friendliness: This app is basic until you start looking into the settings, Everything can be found with ease, News feed can be located at the bottom of your screen (Default home/index page), You can also locate the messenger in the middle of News feed, Requests, Notifications and More. Facebook’s UI is very clean and not cluttered with buttons and everything is spaced out

6 Facebook What hardware are required to run the app: This app is required have IOS 7.0 or later and is useable with iPod/iPad/iPhone and on Android you’re required the latest version. You will also need some sort of connection to the internet to be able to run this app.

7 Facebook What interface elements does it have: Facebook has a lot of interface elements but some of the main ones are News feed, Requests, Messenger, Notification and More.

8 Facebook Does it make use of standard operating-system software (e.g. contacts list, text messaging etc): This app has access to photo’s, contacts, camera, location. All of these are optional if you want Facebook to gain access to these.

9 Netflix Use of app: Entertainment
You can use Netflix to watch a certain TV series or movie. It also allows you to watch multiple things and it saves where you was last up-to on the movie or TV series.

10 Netflix Purpose of the app: To watch films or a TV series for when you’re bored. This app also saves where you was last up-to on the series on the film and it will keep it saved for when you next watch the film.

11 Netflix User’s requirements: This app is developed for any gender, The owner of the account should be over the age of 18 and must be the card or PayPal owner. However, people under the age are allowed to have access to the account.

12 Netflix User friendliness: Netflix is a very basic app. Everything is easy to find as when you sign into the account your home screen gets filled with movies and TV series what are new or most popular. There are only three other tabs which are search, change profile and sign out.

14 Netflix What interface elements does it have: Netflix only has a few tabs as they like to keep it clean and easy for people to use. The tabs they have are Home, Search, Change Profile and Sign out.

16 Facebook Explain how the features of the two apps affect the intended use, usability and appeal to the audience: Facebook appeals to people who want to speak to their friends and/or upload pictures/videos of themselves and send to friends/family who could be across the world, they can have their own profiles so there friends/family can see what they’re doing in there life, they can instant message people around the world. Facebook also has a help page to help users know what they can do if they have any problems.

17 Netflix Explain how the features of the two apps affect the intended use, usability and appeal to the audience: Netflix appeals to people with a wide variety of Films/TV Series’

18 Facebook Consider the strengths and weaknesses of the apps and suggest improvements to the apps to meets the intended purpose: Strengths: Strong uptime (No maintenance, Doesn’t go into maintenance mode to update the website) Works around 95% of the world Weaknesses: Fake accounts / Bots still exist Uses a lot of data on mobiles

19 Netflix Consider the strengths and weaknesses of the apps and suggest improvements to the apps to meets the intended purpose: Strengths: Has a lot of TV Series’ / Films Interface is easy to use Weaknesses: Don’t upload new films / TV Series’ High price Able to abuse free trial each month to keep it for free without paying
