5. General Objective
To speed up an effective joint response from TB and HIV/AIDS Programs to the tuberculosis epidemic associated with HIV in the Americas, by facilitating
information exchange and
experiences among Programs.

6. Specific Objectives
To present the final version of the documents, Building Blocks: Comprehensive-Care Guide for People Living with TB/HIV Co-Infection in Latin America and the Caribbean; and to receive feedback on it.
To discuss the development of policies on TB/HIV at the national and Regional levels.
To evaluate and make recommendations on collaboration strategies between TB Programs and HIV/AIDS Programs, at the country level.

7. Expected Results
To have reviewed, improved and approved the proposed final version of the document Building Blocks: Comprehensive-Care Guide for People Living with TB/HIV Co-Infection in Latin America and the Caribbean.
To have discussed proposals for Regional adaptation of the document Guidelines for Implementing Collaborative TB and HIV Programme Activities (WHO/ CDS/ TB/ ), with a view to future implementation.

8. Expected Results
To have discussed plans for joint activities between TB Programs and HIV/AIDS Programs aimed at better control of co-infection in the countries of the Region.
