myASQ myASQ is a centralized, online community that provides timely, relevant, and personalized engagement for members of ASQ, allowing members to make connections online to help them succeed. Accessing myASQ is easy, and in a few quick steps, you’ll be able to network and engage with other quality professionals.

Accessing myASQ To access myASQ, simply type my.asq.org in the address bar of your Internet browser. Then, click the red “Login” button in the upper right corner of the screen.

Accessing myASQ By entering your asq.org username and password, you will have greater access to the myASQ online community. If you don’t have an asq.org username and password, you can register for one to gain immediate access to myASQ, as well as other valuable content on asq.org.

MyHome After signing in, you will be taken to myHome, the dashboard page of myASQ. The page features ASQ news, announcements, and a snapshot of the communities to which you belong. These communities are based on your section or division memberships.

Updating your Profile Clicking on your name in the upper right of the page gives you the opportunity to update your profile, add a picture, view your connections and recent activities, and more. We recommend you update your profile and include a photo of yourself. Doing so has proven to substantially increase your networking opportunities in other communities.

MyHome If you scroll down on the myHome page, you will be able to view discussion topics. These topics are arranged into four categories: Recent, Popular, My Topics—or those you’re participating in—and those with no response.

Communities As we work from left to right in the navigation bar, after MyHome is Communities, designed to foster networking, sharing and learning among those with similar interests or geographical area. There are four community types in myASQ: Geographic – for those people interested in a specific region or city. Technical – designed for community members interested in certain topics. Member Leaders – for ASQ members who contribute to the governance and operations of ASQ. Peer Groups – designed for quality professionals who are part of ASQ programs like the Emerging Quality Leaders Program or the International Team Excellence Awards. As a member of any given section or technical community, your myASQ account will automatically reflect that membership, and give you access to those communities—there is no need to sign up on myASQ for those communities.

Discussions Discussions are a key function of myASQ, and one where users can engage and interact with others on any number of topics. It’s where you go to network and build connections within the community. If there isn’t a category for the topic you’re interested in, post in the General category. ASQ is actively monitoring that discussion group, and could create a specific category for popular posts and topics. While there are several popular topics already identified, you won’t find categories for technical communities because those discussions will live within the communities area. For example, there is no QMD category in Discussions, but there will be within the QMD community page.

Events Events is the home of all ASQ events, whether offered by headquarters or a section or technical community. When perusing events on myASQ, users can indicate their interest level in an event. If you click “yes” the event will be visible on the MyHome page in the right column under My Events. Users also can add events to a variety of calendars, including Microsoft Outlook, Apple iCal Calendar, and Google Calendar.

Searching Events Users also have the option to search for events based on different criteria. You can search for events by location, by topic, by host—headquarters, technical community, geographic community, etc.—and by type of event, like conference, webinar, course, social event, and more.
