During the 2017 hurricane season, Puerto Rico was impacted by two major hurricanes: Irma and Maria Irma Hit Puerto Rico on September 6 More than 1 million people left without power Maria Made landfall in southern Puerto Rico on September 20 Major damage to infrastructure, homes, and businesses
