1. Background
A standards group in China (CCSA) has developed a wireless LAN security approach known as WAPI
IEEE Task Group i reviewed the situation and drafted document r1 as a WAPI position (reviewed with the WG by D. Halasz at the mid-week plenary 12- Nov-03)
IEEE will be open to a liaison relationship with the CCSA group

2. Motion for WAPI position
Believing that the document r1 is acceptable as a WG position on WAPI, approve transmission of aforementioned document to a representative of the CCSA standards project in China responsible for developing WAPI.
