3 Geography AH Geography has 3 main parts.
They must complete a Geographical Study in the form of a dissertation based on fieldwork gathered. They will use statistical analysis tests, compare data to models and write a report on their findings. This is 40% of their mark. They must research a Geographical Issue  and write a critical essay based on a variety of sources. This is 30% of their mark. The exam -  this is based on Map reading skills and fieldwork techniques. This is 30% of their mark.

4 English Assessed components of the course sent to the SQA:
3000 word dissertation on literary texts – (huge choice) 3 folio pieces – can be poetry, drama script, prose, discursive writing, report. Exam: 1.5 hour exam on texts studied in class. 1.5 hour exam analysing unseen poetry, drama or prose. You need to: Have a passion for literature Be willing to work independently

5 Maths AH Maths consists of three units
- Mathematics: Methods in Algebra and Calculus (Advanced Higher) - Mathematics: Geometry, Proof and Systems of Equations (Advanced Higher) - Mathematics: Applications of Algebra and Calculus (Advanced Higher) Each unit has an internal assessment which must be passed but does not count towards the overall final result. That depends solely on a final 3 hour one paper SQA exam.

6 Sciences 3 units and a project/investigation (30 marks).
Final exam 90 marks. Time management and organisation – requesting experimental resources. Scientific reading. Independent work.
