Step 1 - Select the FY performance review year Step 2 - Select the review type (Introductory or End-Year) Step 3 - Select “Start Evaluation” Step 4 - Select “OK” to begin a review Tip: Reviews can be started as soon as goals are created, assigned, or approved. If using the self evaluation, you can send a reminder to your staff requesting they complete the requested self review. Step 1 Step 2 Step 4 Step 3

3 Conduct an Employee Review
When you begin the annual review, the message shown here will be automatically generated via to your reporting staff. If you do not intend to use the self-evaluation let your staff know they can ignore the notice. Remind them NOT to start a self-evaluation unless you intend to use this tool. An incomplete self-evaluation hinders the ability for a manager and employee to complete and sign-off on a review. If you use the self-evaluation, the staff will complete and submit per your request. You have an opportunity to remind them if not completed when you request.

Step 1 - Select a rating 1 – 5 Step 2 - Enter description of actual staff performance in Leader Evaluation field Step 3 - Provide Examples of actual performance Step 4 - SAVE Feedback Step 1 Tip: View the staff’s completed self- evaluation or notes you listed for this staff in the review. Step 2 Step 3 Notice you have an option to skip evaluating an item. You will have to return and complete the rating before you can finalize a review. Step 4

Feedback may be viewed from within the evaluation. This is a tool all can use in support team members and others within the Foundation.

6 Conduct an Employee Review
As you evaluate each component of the review, the system will show you the next steps. Select, “Proceed to Competencies” and continue to progress until you reach the “Submit the Evaluation” step.

7 Conduct an Employee Review
The “Discussion Points” for leaders include the following to prompt conversation moving forward. “What I think you should START doing is….” “Some things that I think are getting in your way are….” “What I think you should CONTINUE to do is……” “Overall Feedback.” Similar questions will be asked of the staff if the self evaluation is used. Reviews may be saved anytime throughout the process by using the “Save Feedback” button.

8 Conduct an Employee Review
At the conclusion of the evaluation, all areas will show as completed and the leader will submit* the review. At this stage, the staff member can view the evaluation and revisions may still be made. This is the step prior to having the performance review meeting with your direct report. *This is NOT THE FINAL submission.

9 Conduct an Employee Review
Tip: If you choose to use the self-evaluation tool, you may send a reminder generating the notification to the staff. This can be managed any time prior to the final submission of a signed review. Once the review is complete and the in-person meeting has occurred, the leader will summarize the meeting and submit the review a final time to initialize the electronic signatures portion of the review. The leader and staff will electronically sign the annual review.

10 Conduct an Employee Review
When you meet you may have a printed version of the review for your discussion. Following your meeting, you will enter post meeting feedback and Save and Submit the review to initiate the signature portion of the review.

11 Conduct an Employee Review
The review will prompt the leader by creating a task under the “leaf” view to digitally sign the review. Once the task is selected, the review will appear and the leader must scroll to the bottom in order to sign it. Type your name as recorded in Sprigg Select SAVE to sign the review

12 Conduct an Employee Review
You may view past performance reviews completed in Sprigg when you “Manage” the employee, select performance reviews, the year you wish to view and view final evaluation. You may view reviews completed prior to Sprigg under the employee profile selected when you “Manage” individual staff.

13 Conduct an Employee Review
Want to see reviews completed prior to using Sprigg? You may view those under the employee profile when you “Manage” individual staff. Past evaluations for up to 3 years have been stored there for your access.
