Rnd2 and Rnd3 induce stress fibres whereas Rnd1 reduces stress fibres in endothelial cells.(A) Rnd mRNAs are expressed in HUVECs. Total RNA was isolated and reverse transcribed into cDNA. Rnd1, Rnd2 and Rnd3 were detected by PCR. Amplification products were separated on an agarose gel. (B,C) HUVECs were transfected with Rnd1, Rnd2, Rnd3 or GFP-encoding plasmids and fixed after 24 hours. Cells were stained for F-actin and with anti-Flag antibody to detect Rnd proteins and anti-VE-cadherin (B) or anti-paxillin (C) antibodies.
