Cheetahs have black lines on their face called “ tear lines.”
The tear line protects the cheetah’s eyes from the glare of the sun.

Did you know that people and cheetahs have always gotten along well?
Some people in Africa keep cheetahs in their backyard.
Akbar the great kept 1,000 cheetahs for hunting a type of a gazelle called "The Black Buck.”

4. Cheetahs hunting skills
When at lighting speed, the cheetah strikes the prey at its bottom to knock it down.
Then the cheetah holds the prey by the neck to cut of its air supply.
The whole chase only lasts about 20 seconds, but it can cover as much as 550 feet.

5. Cheetahs speed
Cheetahs can accelerate up to 45 miles per hour in just 2 seconds!
The cheetahs top speed is 120 km/h in running.

6. The king cheetah
In May 1981, two spotted sisters gave birth, and in each liter had a King cheetah
The King cheetah has three dark, wide stripes extending from their neck to their tail.
They have fur as thick as a snow leopard's.
