2 Rationale The Talent Matching workshop in Barcelona was focused on an artistic field, for professional artists working in CCIs, with the idea of start working with creative young people, to engage them and built a guide to make the step between hobby and profession. This first unit is an introduction to the project, understanding the context and setting expectations of the workshop, taking the Talent Matching London as an example. In these firsts sessions the participants developed a list of issues to develop and questions to answer during the next sessions about the role, the context and the necessities of young people and the mentors.

Structure To know each other (places) Have a process Materials, equipment What venues and institutions need to be aware: Funding Don’t take advance of the young people Don’t close the work field Lack of motivation What young people need: Incentive Inspiration Technical knowledge Learn to express themselves and their work Languages Money (or at least don’t loose money) What mentors need to have : Work actively in CCI (to be an inspiration for young people) Motivation Get paid
