Well, for some reason, some of the more recent versions of software are set to only show you a few of the menu selections at first.

If you want to see the whole list of menu choices, you have to click on this little double pointer at the bottom.

But, if you’d like to have the full drop-down menu on your first click, it’s a simple matter of changing one setting. Here’s how you do it.

7 With a Word document open,

8 When the Tools menu drops down... click on “Customize.”

That will open a “Customize” dialog box with three tabs at the top of it. Click on the “Options” tab.

That will give you a screen with several options. Click on the little box in front of “Always show full menus.” That will put a check mark in the box.

11 Click “Close” at the bottom of that box...
