4. The Alliance Crumbles
After WWII, only US and Soviet Union are the only countries left strong enough to be a Superpower
nations more powerful than other powerful nations.
Alliance between Soviet Union and Western democracies falls apart.
Stalin and the Soviets want to spread Communism and create a “buffer zone” of friendly nations controlled by him to protect against further attack.
