With your table, read the handout given to you on writing a hypothesis. Then find and write down the following info in your notebook:

3. In your notebook, change the following hypotheses into IF/THEN/BECAUSE statements
Think about it this way: If [I do this], then [this will happen] because….
Chocolate may cause pimples.
Salt in soil may affect plant growth.
Plant growth may be affected by the color of the light.
Bacterial growth may be affected by temperature.
Temperature may cause leaves to change color.

4. Lisa is working on a science project
Lisa is working on a science project. Her task is to answer the question: "Does Rogooti (which is a commercial hair product) affect the speed of hair growth“? Using the IF/THEN/BECAUSE format, write a possible hypothesis for the above question.
