10 – 12 Grade Pearl City High School Campus In a class with high school students After school  (MW 3:00-4:15/TTH 1:30-2:15) Limited course selection (PCHS and CC) $150 + book(s) + fees Sign ups & Registration happens on our campus Scholarships: Gear Up (Free or reduced lunch, One time opportunity) 9 – 12 Grade with a 2.5 GPA + College Campus In a class with college students Any time your schedule allows Any course the college has to offer Full tuition (about $400 + book(s)) Meet with college counselor first Scholarships: Gear Up (Free or reduced lunch, one time opportunity OR Kamehameha Running Start –Need to be Hawaiian and in the Ho`olulu Database Gear Up Scholarship Deadline: Summer Friday March 29 & Fall 2019 – Thursday, April 18, 2019 Kamehameha Running Start Scholarship Deadline: April , 2019

Earn dual credit (high school and college credit) English 100 – 12th Grade English Econ 130– Social Studies Elective and CTE Honors for Business Academy Soc 100 – Social Studies Elective Speech 151 – Elective Fashion 205 – Elective Kinesiology 203 – Elective All would help with Academic Honors (2 AP and/or 2 DC) Added to your high school and college transcripts Some course are on a 5 point scale English 100, Soc 100, Speech 151 ACT - English Composition 18/Math Section 22 SAT - Evidence-Based Reading & Writing 480/Math Section 530

Dual Credit & UH Systems Application Health records (TB and 2 MMR) Placement test – Accuplacer, ACT 18/22 or SAT 480/530, SBA 4/3 Deadlines to register (Fall/Summer - May 1/Spring – November 1 or 15).

Should be doing well in high school classes Self-motivated Responsible of own learning Have good time management – Balancing your time Sports and activities should not interfere with college classes Turn in all assignments on time Communicates with peers and professor Seek assistance when needed (Professor or counselor) Study, Study, Study!

7 Required Items Please refer to the Early College Checklist (Make sure you have it on the right side (HCC or LCC)) Dual Credit Application Requires all signatures accept Principals UH Application Health Records TB shot – 1 year before the start of the class or Risk Assessment 2 MMR – can get from doctors or health room (non class time) Accuplacer Test or ACT, SAT, SBA Scores Last day to take your placement test at LCC is Friday, March 29. You only need to take the test that you need (Writing for Fall 2019) Payment of $150 Check written out to Pearl City High School OR Cash

8 Applications We do applications together to ensure that you do it correctly. After school in the Library Computer Lab Bring 20 cents to print out applications Need to do at least UH Application in order for you to take the placement test UH ID # - Could take a week to receive Please sign up for a day Monday, March 4 – HCC and LCC Students Tuesday, March 5 – HCC New students Wednesday, March 6 – HCC and LCC Students
