2 5.1 Effective Preparation
Unit ensures the faculty effectively prepares educators thru: Scholarship Service Teaching Collaboration Assessment of faculty performance Zero % complete! It will be a brief explanation of how we accomplish our mission. The focus is on how we utilize our faculty’s professional development to effectively train educators. I will write it last.

3 5.2 Continuous Improvement
Summarize unit activities in support of mission that have lead to continuous improvement in the program. Demonstrate changes we have made Document curriculum meetings Discuss improvement in candidate performance Discuss improvement of program quality Discuss plans for continuous improvement We use Educator Preparation Advisory Counsel, etc. We use Taskstream for assessment Monitoring Surveys Zero % Complete A written explanation; maximum three –pages. Haven’t started.

4 5.3 Exhibits Table on Professional Education Faculty Qualifications
Data Table on Clinical Faculty Qualifications Final Draft tables are finished. At 95%. Policies and Practices of Clinical Faculty Will utilize existing Supervisors Handbook, etc. We are at 95% Samples of Faculty Scholarly Activities Use previous data and add anything new. We are at 75% Summary of faculty service and collaborative activities. 0% Policies for Faculty Evaluations with summary. 95% Policy and practices for professional development. Zero % New item! Faculty will submit their development plans (annually)

5 Standard Five Summary We are progressing well were we are currently focused. We know what to do in the other areas (we just haven’t done it yet) May need some specific data from individual faculty members You will be contacted only if it is necessary. We already have much of the data that we will need.

6 Faculty Development New Concept (old concept revisited)
Each faculty member will create a development plan Format will be distributed next week via Focus on three objectives or less Must be aligned with your faculty assignment Discuss your plan with your Department Head Turn in completed form NLT October 1, 2011 How will your annual evaluation committee evaluate your success?
