2. Lethe/Lethargy/Lethargic in Classics
In Greek mythology, Lethe was the name of a river in the Underworld also known as the “River of Unmindfulness or Forgetfulness” (Ameles potamos).
It flowed near the cave Hypnos, where murmuring induces drowsiness.
Lethe is also used as a metaphor for the Underworld in general.
When shades entered the Underworld, they were required to drink from the river to forget their earthly life.

“of, relating to, or characterized by laziness or lack of energy”
Synonymous with laziness
Lethargy can be a sign of sickness in animals
Lethargy is the name of a 90s technical death metal band
