3 TAKE SIDES ACTIVITY The left side of the room represents Stress. The right side of the room represents no stress. Down the middle is neutral. Move to the side that best reflects your feelings in the following situations.

13 What Causes Stress? Stressor: anything that causes a stress response.
Not all stressors are the same for everyone. Not all stressors are bad. “Positive” stressor example: “Negative” stressor example:

14 POSITIVE STRESS - EUSTRESS
Stress keeps you alert. Some stress helps you avoid danger. Stress can motivate you to take action and work harder. Stress helps in competitions to do well. Stress can strengthen you to handle hard things.

Holds you back from accomplishing goals. Interferes with your ability to concentrate. Being “Stressed Out!”
