BACKGROUND The story was written because Malawi is one of the countries affected by problems orchestrated by climate change. The story was answering Millennium Development Goal number 3 which asks countries to achieve the promotion of gender equality and women empowerment. The story was also targeting the Integration of principles of sustainable development policies and programmes -and reverse the loss of environmental resources. Once this is achieved it can also facilitate the achievement of MDG number one which is halving the proportion of people who suffer from hunger by the year 2015. 50/50 BY 2015: DEMANDING A STRONG POST 2015 AGENDA

TARGET AUDIENCE The report was targeting the decision makers so that they should empower more people to uplift their lives instead of scrambling for the natural resources they have. The story has a great impact in changing the mindset of other villagers who due to lack of job opportunity they destroy the natural resources they have like cutting down trees aimlessly in search for income. 50/50 BY 2015: DEMANDING A STRONG POST 2015 AGENDA

PROCESS/METHODOLOGY The data was collected through one on one interviews which were realized by travelling to the Nsanje district. There are 5 female against 3 male sources. I chose the voices because they are directly or indirectly affected by climate change and they are important in the story because most of the issues uttered are interconnected. 50/50 BY 2015: DEMANDING A STRONG POST 2015 AGENDA
