3 ADMISSION PROCEDURE Fill out Application Form, Attach Required Documents , Pay Application Processing Fee 2000 pkrs & obtain bank receipt. Submit all these documents to HIRM via courier or in person. Eligible Students will appear in Entry Test. Details of Test will be informed to students by HIRM before hand. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview. Admission Offer letter will be issued to successful candidates. Payment of Admission & Semester Fees to confirm Admission. *All dates and deadlines will be conveyed through notifications and advertisements issued by HIRM. Candidates can also call institute to confirm.

Semester Fee within one week to one month from start of classes is 25% Refundable. 4. After one month semester fee is not refundable.

9 INTRODUCTION OF INSTITUTE
Hayat Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine is a project of Hayat Mohammad Ali Foundation (Registered). The aim of this institute is promote quality of education in Pakistan by bringing new, valuable and practical disciplines that will enable health care providers progress in the field of rehabilitation medicine. HIRM received its affiliation from Jinnah Sindh Medical University for Doctor of Physical Therapy DPT 30 Seats. We will be adding more health related academic programs in the coming future. Courses Offered Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Building & Facilities Offices (Principal, Administration, Faculty and other Staff) Classrooms (Sitting capacity of 320 students approx.) SCOPE OF DPT OBJECTIVES OF DPT PROGRAM The chief goal of DPT program is to produce physical therapists able to meet the needs of patients as well as society with participation in both professional and community service. In order to fulfill this goal. the department works on the following objectives Physical Therapists Operate as independent practice as well as members of the health care team with patients of different ages who have or may develop impairments of body . activity limitations. and participation restrictions. Their services help in the restoration. maintenance and promotion of function related but not limited to conditions of the musculoskeletal, Neuromuscular ,Cardiopulmonary, gynecological and integumentary systems. The scope of physical therapy practice is dynamic and continuously evolving It is not limited to direct patient/client care, but also includes community services. public health planning. administration. teaching. policy making and curriculum development and more. To integrate in-depth knowledge of basic and clinical sciences for planning. execution and modification of various treatment approaches that reflect the overall scope of physical therapy practice. To develop clinical competence in assessment. diagnosis. design and implementation of an effective plan of care. 3 To train students with appropriate communication and decision making skills necessary to work in collaboration with patients and members of the healthcare team. 3 To produce physical therapists able to demonstrate critical appraisal skills and incorporate the best available evidence into physical therapy practice.

12 ENTRANCE TEST / ADMISSION EQUIPMENT FOR DPT
50% overall unadjusted score in pre-medical group at Intermediate Certification in Pakistan. However. much higher scores prove to be more competitive. British Advanced Level (A-Level) certification with Biology. Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics. The achievements should be minimum 50% (pre-medical) in IBCC Equivalence Certificate. US GradeI 2 Diploma (minimum GPA 3.0) accompanied by an Equivalence Certificate from the IBCC of at least 50% F.Sc pre-medical qualification (that will require inclusion of Biology. ChemiStry. Physics/Mathematics and English in the final 3 years). Higher Secondary School Certificate from Other countries with Biology. Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics accompanied by an Equivalence Certificate from IBCC of at least 50% F.Sc pre-medical.

16 STANDING COMMITTEES There are separate standing committees/councils at every constituent college/institute/department for supervision of all matters pertaining to academic affairs. examinations. research. development. admissions. student affairs and discipline as defined in the subsequent paragraphs. Admission Committee The admission committee shall be responsible for the matters pertaining to admission of students in the degree program. Academic Affairs Committee The Academic Affairs Committee is responsible for all academic matters i.e. syllabi. course contents. examination schedules. assigning of teachers for various course. academic calendar and any other matter entrusted to it on the subject of academic affairs. Examination Committee The Examination Committee ensures the conduct of examinations. setting of papers and evaluation of answer books. It is also responsible to the Head of the Department for matters relating to evaluation. compilation of results and other related tasks. Students Affairs Committee The Student Affairs Committee. through their representatives convey university policies on various administrative matters and also obtains the views of the students to the Head of the department with its recommendations.

The Library provides a large variety of reference and text books and research journals for the students in all respective specialized areas.
