2. DASC P&Ps 13. DASC Awards Committee
The DASC shall have a standing Awards Committee.
The awards committee shall develop an awards program to recognize meritorious work by DASC members. The committee shall also vote to recommend DASC members for the IEEE SA Standards Medallion and other appropriate IEEE awards. The awards committee shall be comprised of the DASC officers plus up to three other members appointed by the chair. The Awards Committee shall be run by a chair elected by the committee. Decisions of the committee require confirmation by the DASC.

3. Award Criteria (Proposed)
An individual or entity that
Puts forth extra effort to further the DASC and its mission
Makes or causes a noticeable improvement in DASC operations, policies, or practices
and/or
Significantly improves or strengthens a DASC relationship with other IEEE or external organizations

4. Awards Committee DASC officers
Up to 3 additional interested DASC members, appointed by DASC Chair
Volunteers solicited
Awards Committee Chair elected by the awards committee

5. Award Frequency One major award annually
Coinciding with IEEE-SA awards activities
Presented at annual IEEE-SA awards ceremony (need to secure IEEE-SA approval)
Other awards to recognize specific accomplishments such as timely completion of a draft std or ballot
Need names for the awards
