3. Why China?
Trip emerged from the relations built with the school, UCD(Confucius Institute) and Hanban (Confucius Institute Beijing-state run organisation to promote the teaching of Chinese language and culture).
Hanban are paying for:
4* Hotels( twin rooms)
Tours
Transport
3 meals a day
Why?: To encourage Chinese language and cultural teaching in schools.
Balance trip: 750 euro( depending on vaccinations chosen )by the 26th of January at the latest
Time difference: China is 8 hours ahead

In China snacks like Starbucks approx 1.10( 21 Yuan) for coffee,

14. Rules of the trip
Read the Behaviour Policy in the pack, please sign and return to school……Rules include:
No drinking/drugs/weapons
Following all instruction( on flight, hotel, transport, Chinese classes)
Being on time
Respect local laws and customs
Discuss rules of the trip with child and return form signed
100 euro bond-write a cheque made payable to the school and return in school envelope attached to letter 2 of trip
Under Chinese law you are regarded as an adult from 14 years old and the law treats you as such!

16. Checklist: 1. Read and sign form regarding travel Insurance policy
2. Read and sign the behaviour policy and include the cheque for the 100 bond in the school envelope
3. Have a check-up with GP if there are any medical conditions. Ensure prescriptions are up to date, filled( enough medication for the duration of the trip) and are in child’s hand luggage
4. Read handouts on Vaccinations, sign forms and return by Friday 19th January
5. Pay balance of trip online by the 26th January
6. Pack smart!-luggage tags
7. Buy local currencies –Order in bank now!( Yuan-China, Dirham-Abu Dhabi)
8. Ensure you have a photocopies of your child’s passport, visa and travel insurance policy -keep it in a safe place
