8 Technique: Photosculpture
Brno Del Zou Technique: Photosculpture Synopsis : “To split the body, in this particular case, it is not to cut it to scatter it more, but it is the hope to recompose it more faithfully, to reach and create again unity, identity, maybe first; the one who supports all the differences, all the variations, all the point of view who nevertheless save, in spite of the light variation and the position in the space, glittering constantly, resisting any too instant capture, and multiplying at leisure, without ever losing this unity, without which the body would not yet exist itself.” Brno Del Zou

13 Amanda Clyne “I begin my process by culling images from fashion magazines. Cropping the image into a portrait, I re-print the image on to a surface to which the printing ink does not adhere, so the image remains wet. I photograph the print as the fluid image morphs and dissolves over time. I then compose a new image from fragments of these photographs—each image each is comprised of slices of the image at various stages of dissolution.”
