We became a new person.

We became united with one another through the Holy Spirit and added to the kingdom of God.
We became the ONE UNIVERSAL BODY OF CHRIST.

3. 2 Corinthians 5:15-17
“…and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.”

We became a new creation!

What is this new creation?

5. Raised Up In Jesus
Ephesians 2:5-7 – “[But God] …even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

6. Romans 6:5
“For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection…”
United in death
United in resurrection

7. A New Creature In what ways am I new?
Ephesians 2:10 – “…even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”
Alive, Saved, Raised up and Seated!

Romans 8:11
“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give live to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
“For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.”
New how?
Sins cancelled
Holy Spirit indwelling
Old values rejected
Old lust crucified

9. Intimately United With Jesus
Galatians 2:20 -- I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
I no longer live
Christ lives in me
I live by faith

10. I have been born again
1 Peter 1:3 – “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…”

11. Walking In The Light Where Jesus is
John 8:12 -- Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”

12. Romans 8:4
“…so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.”
Walking no longer according to the flesh.
Walking according to the Spirit.

13. Light Walkers
1 John 1:6-7 – “If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.”

14. As We Have Been Assigned By God
1 Corinthians 7:17 – “Only, as the Lord has assigned to each one, as God has called each, in this manner let him walk. And so I direct in all the churches.”
