2 Life – How To Live It! Galatians 2:20
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

3 Life – How To Live It! Crucified With Him

4 I Am Crucified With Christ
1) Crucified defined: “to crucify along with; metaph.: by the death of Christ upon the cross I have become utterly estranged from (dead to) my former habit of feeling and action” (Thayer).

5 I Am Crucified With Christ
2) He died to the law. “Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God” (Romans 7:4).

6 I Am Crucified With Christ
3) He became dead to the world. “But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world” (Galatians 6:14). “For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live” (Romans 8:13).

7 I Am Crucified With Christ
4) He died to sin. “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?” (Romans 6:1-2). “knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin” (Romans 6:6-7).

8 Life – How To Live It! Crucified With Him Nevertheless I Live

9 Nevertheless I Live 1) Dead to sin yet alive to God.
“Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:11).

10 Nevertheless I Live 2) A new life.
“Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4).

11 Nevertheless I Live 3) Now a slave of righteousness.
“But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness” (Romans 6:17-18).

12 Life – How To Live It! Crucified With Him Nevertheless I Live
Yet Not I - Christ

13 Yet Not I But Christ Liveth In Me
1) How is this possible? “that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love” (Ephesians 3:17).

14 Yet Not I But Christ Liveth In Me
2) Jesus further explains. “Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him” (John 14:23).

15 Yet Not I But Christ Liveth In Me
3) His word must dwell in us richly. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord” (Colossians 3:16). “And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” (Ephesians 5:18-19).

16 Yet Not I But Christ Liveth In Me
4) This type life will manifest itself. “always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh” (2 Corinthians 4:10-11).

17 Life – How To Live It! Crucified With Him Nevertheless I Live
Yet Not I – Christ Life In The Flesh

18 The Life Which I Now Live In The Flesh
1) Still a life in the flesh. “I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world” (John 17:14-16).

19 The Life Which I Now Live In The Flesh
2) Still faced with temptations. “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 1:6-7).

20 The Life Which I Now Live In The Flesh
3) A great challenge when things are going good! “Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity” (Luke 8:14).

21 The Life Which I Now Live In The Flesh
4) The Lord’s work is to be done while in the flesh. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad” (2 Corinthians 5:10).

22 Life – How To Live It! Crucified With Him Nevertheless I Live
Yet Not I – Christ Life In The Flesh I Live By The Faith

23 I Live By The Faith Of The Son Of God
1) As the Lord directs. “This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?” (Galatians 3:2). “But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed” (Galatians 3:23).

24 I Live By The Faith Of The Son Of God
2) He directs through His word. “Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105). “For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).

25 I Live By The Faith Of The Son Of God
3) It is totally trusting and following our Lord. “For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day” (2 Timothy 1:12). “Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator” (1 Peter 4:19).
