The first point section category is the hesi exam score which can potentially offer a minimum score of 8 points and a maximum score of 10 points. Hesi exam points are awarded based on the hesi cumulative score or composite score that is student receives on their exam. Exam scores are not rounded; however, the raw score determines the points received from the section. The second point selection category is the applicant’s education history and points are awarded to applicants who have a pervious degree in another field. Points are also awarded in this section to applicants who completed an Allied Health science program, like the PCA program, LPN program, or Medical Assisting program at Palm Beach State College. The third point selection category is the nursing curriculum requirements and applicants are awarded points based on their completed co- requisite requirements. Finally, the last point section that is considered for selection into the RN program is the Active Duty/Military Veteran section for consideration. Active Duty or military veterans will receive a point on their RN application with the submission of their DD214 with honorable discharge. This point will only be offered to military veterans and active duty military, but not military spouses or family of military.
