To inform the DIME/ITDG ST on recent developments regarding the ESS EA activities
To have an exchange on implementation of EA in NSIs/Eurostat

3. DIME/ITDG plenary (conclusions of 24-25 February 2016)
Adopted the ESS EA RF to support ESS Vision Implementation
Support ESS EA roadmap engaging proactively with ESS.VIP projects
Support the creation of the ESS EA Board
overseeing the project reviews
assessing the need to revise/adapt the ESS EA RF
Supporting capability building

4. Governance & process
First meeting of the ESS EA Board with senior architects from NL, IT, FR, IR, UK, PL, NO
Systematic approach for project review (check list, template report) piloted with ESBRs
Organisation of the work - pilot with DIGICOM
Explore the potential for European Interoperability Framework and related Reference Architecture for the ESS

5. Capacity building
Presentation of the ESS EA RF in a Q2016 training course on Modernisation of Official Statistics
Workshop on ESS EA planned for October 2016 with active involvement of the ESS EA Board
Article on ESBRs in the next newsletter

6. Project reviews
ESBRs
Complete review of the ESBRs business architecture to be adopted by the BSDG
Global recommendation for ESBRs continuation in particular architecture roadmap and pilot design

7. Project reviews DIGICOM early review:
identify key architecture milestones,
address general recommendations for design implementation
challenge of the project with respect to coordination with other initiatives related to linked data

8. Project reviews SERV: Integration of CSPA and ESS EARF.
Specific focus on ESS CSPA guidelines,
Identifying challenge for implementation
Next : ESDEN, ESBRs interoperability framework
