3 How did Farming Develop?
Ice Age ended Water levels rose and some plants and animals died out Forced hominids to stop migrating and find other ways to eat.

4 Domesticate Animals Wild wolves adapted to dogs which were easy to domesticate Help with hunting, companionship, protections, food.

5 Irrigation Some areas don’t get a lot of water, digging canals from a body of water to crops helps them GROW!

6 Surplus Hominid no longer have to travel like nomads to find food.
Extra food available helps community grow in number

7 Cities Form! What did they Have!? Large public buildings
Buildings to worship God Buildings for buying and selling, trade Different jobs Government to keep order

8 Artisans Skilled workers who make specific crafts/perform jobs
Making baskets, goods, tools, pottery, cloth

9 Bronze Age 6600 B.C. Artisans learn to melt rock and mix copper with metal, tin to make bronze Harder, more durable tools, weapons, helmets, shields
