Flexible grouping is a strategy I will use to help all of you learn.
It will be used to meet specific goals, complete activities, and address your individual needs.

4. Depending on the activity you will be grouped by:
Ability level
Randomly
Your Choice
How you score on tests
Interests
How will you be grouped?

5. Procedures/ Expectations
Listen to the directions
Pay attention to the location of your group.
Quickly get into your groups.
Follow the directions of the assignment and stay focused on the task. (Off task behavior will result in regrouping and point deductions.)
Raise your hand when you are done.

7. Student Role Do your share of work.
If you are designated as a lead scientist only you are allowed to communicate with the teacher.
Respectfully challenge your group members viewpoint if you do not agree.
Help your classmate if they do not understand.
Ask questions if you do not understand.
Put effort into the process (learning requires focused effort).

8. Expectations for the group
Stay calm and read the lab instructions.
Follow the lab instructions unless I instruct you otherwise.
Contribute equally to the group.
Work together.
Be positive.
Stay in your group and do not leave it. If you need something, raise your hand and I will help you.
Clean up before being dismissed from your group.
