1. Making strong connections each semester is key
Use a few minutes before and after class to form relationships. Talk to two students you didn’t already know and introduce yourself to your professors.
Ask other students where they are from, what they are studying or what their plans are for the semester.
Let your professors know what you are looking forward to the most in their class, or simply just say hello.

Consider attending at least two Welcomefest activities. The more connected you are, the better your overall student experience will be.
