Diabetes Who knows someone with diabetes?
What do you know about diabetes? How do you think someone with diabetes should eat? Can people with diabetes eat foods they love? Why or why not?

Sugar, Diabetes, and Food
You eat food, it goes to your stomach and is broken down into glucose (sugar) and is taken up by your cells and used as energy. When it’s not allowed in the cells, It builds up in your blood, causing high blood sugar levels. When this happens your body has nothing to use as energy.
