10 The Young Prophet Jeremiah 1:1-10
Many prophets of God were called at a young age. Joseph was 17 when he had visions; Daniel was probably a teenager when taken to Babylon , and considering how long was a prophet, men like Isaiah may have been young too

11 Jeremiah: The Young Prophet
Then I said, "Alas, Lord GOD! Behold, I do not know how to speak, because I am a youth.“ Jeremiah 1:6 Difficulties of being young - Fears of the world - Poor leaders all around us Young people today struggle more than ever with the fears instilled by the world. As well, there is an absence of leadership in their lives at all levels.

12 God Needs Youthful Servants
Why might God have called young men to serve? - Their ability to grow into their skills - Their absence of bitterness or cynicism - Their openness to changing their minds One of the great blessings to have: To be a young Christian! One of the greatest blessings any human has is to be introduced to the Gospel in their youth, and to choose to serve Christ ahead of all fo their major life decisions

13 Making the Most of Youth
1. Choose your associations wisely Do not be deceived: Bad company corrupts good morals. 1 Corinthians 15:33 This is a deceptive truth - You cannot see it without discernment

2. Learn self-control Like a city that is broken into and without walls Is a man who has no control over his spirit. Proverbs 25:28 Practice delayed gratification

16 Making the Most of Youth
4. Be a deliberate Christian If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve….but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.“ Joshua 3:7 Choose who you will serve every day Most young people fall away because they choose themselves first. They pursued sex, alcohol, or money.

17 The Great Rewards You will have hard days ahead Ecclesiastes 12:1 God will be with you in them You will have prosperity in God Your life will be better for choosing in youth Marriage, work, and friendships Ec 12:1 ¶ Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near when you will say, "I have no delight in them";
