2 Colons Turn in the Writer’s Choice book to p. 733.
There are 4 uses for the colon. Cross-reference these with your pretest to make sure you have all 4 uses in your notes. Complete ex. 3 on p Use the sheet of paper I gave you. You will turn this in to me.

There are 4 uses for the semicolon. Cross-reference these with your pretest to make sure you have all 4 uses in your notes. Complete 1-10 of ex. 6 on p Use the sheet of paper I gave you. You will turn this in to me.

If you’ve mastered and want a challenge: Pick an SAT word list Choose 5 words that are new to you Try to write 1 cohesive sentence that contains both a semicolon and a colon and all 5 words. If you need/want more practice: Get the practice sheet Write on your own paper

5 Commas Part 1 Turn in the Writer’s Choice. Read over the rules on pgs Take notes as needed. Complete ex. 9, 1-5. Do not write sentence. Write the word(s) before the comma(s) Write on your own sheet of paper. I will not collect; I will come around and record your score.
