Prepare your own breakfast, lunch and dinner menu cards from the given food items or items you want to eat or should eat. Prepare the menu cards using chart paper. Science: *learn to make healthy food choices. *consider the factors that influence their choice of foods. *begin to recognise the importance of variety and frequency of food consumption for an active and healthy life. Art: Creating colourful menu cards using chart paper Maths: * Sorting and analysing data(food items) to create menu cards

11 ACTIVITY My Diet Pyramid Activity Key Elements
Note what you had eaten throughout the previous day, to compare and analyse your eating habits. In the worksheet note how many times each food item (group) you have eaten in the form of tally marks. Create a bar graph using the tally marks plotting food item on X axis and number of times eaten on Y axis. Colour the boxes in the table provided according to the tally marks and create your own balanced diet pyramid. Analyse and discuss whether you are eating a balanced diet or not. Science: * *learn to make healthy food choices. *consider the factors that influence their choice of foods. *begin to recognise the importance of variety and frequency of food consumption for an active and healthy life. Maths: *collect simple categorical and numerical data (count of frequency) and present this data using simple bar graphs. Art: Colouring to create balanced diet pyramid
