JUSTICE
Anglo Saxon justice was not very fair. If you were accused of a crime you would be put through an ‘ordeal’ which would decide if you were guilty or innocent. These trials by ordeal were varied and included trial by dunking, burning and cake. If you managed to eat a cake without choking you were innocent, but if you choked you must be guilty.
