Yet another way of showing the sequence emphasizing that the first three steps can be accomplished by the teacher and only after those attempts do we call the team together.
It is important to note that in some cases teachers can access the team without going through the first three steps. An example would be a student with severe disabilities.
Also it is critical to point out that this is not an IEP team but rather a prereferral team that has no authority to place students in special education

3. Mini-lesson Practice
In a small group of 4, choose 4 consecutive journal mini-lessons appropriate for your grade level.
List them in order on note cards.
Each member of the team chooses one of the mini-lessons to teach the group. Spend 10 minutes developing your lesson.
