Stick in the map and look at different people who emigrated to the Britain
Two key groups that emigrated to Britain during this period:
Caribbean: ‘Windrush’ ship carried , may moved because of unemployment in Jamaica. However, some British people reacted negatively to them.
East Africa/India Subcontinent: many people of Asian origin came from Africa after being persecuted. They had gone after slavery was abolished to fill the work gap. As African colonies gained independence they wanted an African identity which often excluded their Asian population.
