8 Guidance Needs Use discipline prevention methods.
Discipline with love.

9 Discipline Techniques
Use a time out period. Divert their attention. Start a new physical activity. Hold the child’s hand or shoulder.

10 Discipline Techniques
Teach desired behavior. Ignore misbehavior if possible. Reward and recognize good behavior. The best rewards are natural—and you don't have to provide them though noticing them is wonderful (positive reinforcement). A child who works hard in his swimming class is rewarded by increased skills, bigger muscles, the great feeling of improvement and ability, and, eventually, permission to swim on his own. For a child, the sense of “I can do it!” is the best reward in the world.

11 Child Abuse Often confused with discipline.
Must not be an outlet for your own anger. Take a time out for yourself.

12 Report it. Call 911, if child in danger now.
Or , Division of Child & Family Services Or , Child Abuse Hotline
