British attack Washington, D.C. and burn the White House.
Francis Scott Key writes “The Star-Spangled Banner” during the battle at Fort McHenry, near Balitmore.

5. Results
Britain wins their war with France and doesn’t want to fight anymore
Battle of New Orleans: final battle
Young Andrew Jackson leads a spectacular victory
Makes the people of the U.S. feel proud of “defeating” the British
Makes the Federalists look silly and unpatriotic for opposing the war and Madison (end of the party).
