2 Coronary Circulation Coronary arteries branch from base of aorta
Fill when heart relaxes Myocardium drained by cardiac veins Empty into coronary sinus on backside of heart Drains into the right atrium

3 Disorders of the Cardiovascular System
Myocardial Infarction- a blood clot forms in one or more arteries of the heart Prevents blood flow and causes the cells to die. Coronary angioplasty-procedure in which a balloon is used to open a blockage in a coronary artery narrowed by atherosclerosis. (plaque build up on the inner walls of arteries).
