3 Graduation and Senior Activities
Students are excited at this time of the year and we are planning a few activities that you may not be aware of: All students who will play their sport in college will be honored on May 1st in the Student Commons at 10:30. Special Senior Lunch May 1st in the back circle. May 23rd after 1st period a celebration in back circle. Xfinity is a wonderful place to graduate.

4 Student Safety at Prom Goal: To provide a safe environment for seniors to have fun and enjoy their prom. Past Issues How can parents help? What do we have in place to provide a safe environment and to help keep the fun and enjoyment going?

5 Senior Year Expectations:
Pay any obligations now! Student Attendance Upcoming Schedule: March 26, & 27, 2019 (Block Schedule) April 9, 2019 – SAT (Modified Schedule) May 20-24, 2019 (Senior Exam/Culminating Activity) May 29, 2019 – Graduation Rehearsal

6 Prom 2019 When: Friday, May 3rd, 2019 (8:00 – 11:30 p.m.)

7 Prom 2019 Prom tickets on Sale: $50.00
Tuesday April 23 – Thursday, May 2 Either online or at the Student Commons Kiosk Must be purchased during the dates above Student with financial concerns should speak with Ms. Janan Slough (Senior Class Administrator All senior obligations MUST be met prior to purchasing tickets. Tickets are non transferable and non refundable

8 Prom 2019 Seniors bringing a Prom guest who do not attend WJHS MUST complete and RETURN the appropriate forms (with a photocopy of the guest’s ID) to Ms. Janan Slough by Tuesday, April 23 in order to get their tickets. 10 Post Prom Party 2019: Post Prom Party Theme: Candy Land

Provides a safe environment where attendees can eat delicious food, enjoy live entertainment, play games, and win raffles and other prizes. Providing six (6) shuttle buses from prom to the event WE NEED PARENT VOLUNTEERS!

12 Senior Obligations & Senior Dues:
$75.00 Majority of seniors have paid! Seniors who still owe senior dues and or obligations will be receiving a letter from Ms. Slough in the coming week or two. How to pay online by credit card (3.75% service fee will be added) at

13 Senior Obligations & Senior Dues:
Students can login and check obligations and or senior dues at any point. Obligations and or senior dues can be paid directly online or in the school bank. Default.aspx

14 Senior Obligations & Senior Dues:
Only seniors who have paid their dues and obligations will be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony. Financial concern, please contact Ms. Janan Slough (Senior Class Administrator If you have an obligation, please pay it NOW.

15 Graduation Caps & Gowns
Cap and gown orders were taken during homeroom in September and at the Senior Class Assembly in October. Students who haven’t provided cap and gown information have been contacted by the Senior Class Officers & Advisors. Only seniors who have paid their dues and obligations will receive their cap and gown, tickets at graduation rehearsal.

Please NO sneakers, flip flops, or shorts All students please bring bobby pins for your cap! Boys please wear a collared shirt and nice pants (no jeans).

17 Graduation Rehearsal 2019 All seniors are required to attend!

18 Graduation Rehearsal 2019 Please be on time for the rehearsal – we will start promptly at 7:45 AM Caps and gowns will be distributed during rehearsal. Due to logistics, any student who is late or misses rehearsal for any reason will be placed at the end of the processional at the graduation ceremony. If there is a conflict, please contact Ms. Janan Slough (Senior Class Administrator) right away If an emergency arises on May 29, PLEASE call the front office at immediately

19 Class of 2019 Graduation Graduation Thursday, June 6, 2019 1:30 PM
Students must report to Xfinity by 12:00 PM Xfinity Center at the University of Maryland

20 Graduation Tickets Each graduating senior will receive ten (10) tickets. Graduates do not require a ticket. Extra tickets will be distributed in the main office. All questions related to graduation tickets should be ed to George Lavelle, Senior Class Advisor, at

21 Graduation Day-Of Details:
Xfinity Parking: Parents, students, and guests should park in lots 9B, 9C, 11B, 11C, 4B, 4J, and Terrapin Trail Garage Parking maps will be provided with each students cap, gown, and ticket packet. WJ covers the cost of graduation parking with an upfront payment To help cover this large expense, we are requesting donations of $5.00 per car. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. All guests must be inside by 1:30 p.m. Handicapped access should enter through gate C Bag Policy All bags will be searched by Xfinity Center security personnel Personal & large backpacks not allowed. Concession stand with food and a flower vendor will be available.
