1 Use of hydropower

2 Water Water is very common on the Earth. It is mostly found in saltwater oceans which cover 70,8% of the Earth’s surface , but also in rivers, lakes and in a solid state, in glaciers. Some of the Earth’s water can be found below the ground or in the atmosphere ( clouds, water vapour ) Thanks to water or rather its energy , people can generate electricity.

3 Water energy Hydropower is used for industrial purposes. Nowadays, water energy is usually converted into electricity.

4 Hydropower can be much more cheaper than burning fossil fuels or nuclear energy.Areas with abundant hydroelectric power attract industry with low prices of electricity. In some countries ecological reasons have an influence on using water energy ( environmental protection care ), they are becoming more important than prices.

7 Advantages of using hydropower
Hydropower is much more cheaper than burning fossil fuels or nuclear power, Thanks to water energy the natural envirnoment is not polluted, There is much cheaper electricity in the areas where, hydropower is used than in other areas, Turbines that produce water power don’t make too much noise, Hydropower can be used for tourist purposes as well as for therapeutic and medical reasons.

8 Disadvantages of using hydropower
It does change the envirnoment by affecting natural habbitats in rivers, It may happen that hydroelectric power stations deteriorate water quality and its flow, In the event of drought , power stations won’t be able to produce electricity, Many times using hydropower disrupts fish spawning down or upstream, It destroys the wharf envirnoment,
